Wetaskiwin Co-op and Country Junction Feeds is now accepting applications for the temporary position of Mill Operator out of our Canadian Nurs-ette facility, located just outside of Camrose, Alberta.

Wetaskiwin Co-op is located in central Alberta operating in 9 locations in 5 communities of Wetaskiwin, Innisfail, Camrose, Edmonton and Falun. We operate in a variety of product lines including consumer hardware, building products, crop inputs, petroleum, liquor and feed manufacturing. What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Lead Hand, the Mill Operator is a self-motivated individual who has strong attention to detail. Duties will include but are not limited to:
• Operate and monitor all feed mill equipment, including bagging machinery, to produce animal feed in a safe and timely manner, that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
• Regularly bending, twisting, pulling, pushing and lifting up to 55 pounds.
• Accurately measure and blend ingredients according to specific formulations.
• Conduct quality control checks throughout the production process to ensure products conform to company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Load finished feed products onto pallets and trucks for delivery.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Maintain accurate production records, inventory logs, and maintenance reports.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and team leaders to ensure smooth operations and meet production deadlines.
• Following safety and housekeeping standards, policies, and procedures, and complying with all regulatory requirements.
Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Production, Trades and Maintenance and:
• You have a willingness to be coached and to learn.
• You have the ability to perform repetitive physical bending, twisting, pulling, pushing and lifting upwards of 55 pounds.
• Previous experience working in a feed mill or other manufacturing environment is preferred.
• You have the ability to follow procedures with minimal supervision.
• You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
