Wetaskiwin Co-op and Country Junction Feeds is now accepting applications for the position of Mill Operator out of our Country Junction Feeds Wetaskiwin facility, located at 4707 40 Ave in Wetaskiwin, Alberta.

What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Mill Operator is a self-motivated individual who has strong attention to detail. This is a full-time permanent position eligible for benefits. Duties will include but are not limited to:
• Operate and monitor all feed mill equipment, including grinding, mixing, pelleting, and bagging machinery, to produce animal feed in a safe and timely manner, that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
• Accurately measure and blend ingredients according to specific formulations.
• Conduct quality control checks throughout the production process to ensure products conform to company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Receive and grade incoming raw ingredients, both bulk and bagged.
• Load finished feed products onto trucks for delivery.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Maintain accurate production records, inventory logs, bin dip measurements, and maintenance reports.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and team leaders to ensure smooth operations and meet production deadlines.
• Following safety and housekeeping standards, policies, and procedures, and complying with all regulatory requirements.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Production, Trades and Maintenance and:
• You have a willingness to be coached and to learn.
• You have the ability to perform repetitive physical bending, twisting, pulling, pushing and lifting upwards of 55 pounds, and work at heights.
• Previous experience working in a feed mill or other manufacturing environment is preferred.
• You have the ability to work in a team atmosphere with minimal supervision.
• You are available to work rotating shifts (day/afternoon/evening) and occasional statutory holidays and weekends as required.
• You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
