JOB OPPORTUNITY - Human Resources Co-ordinator

Wetaskiwin Co-op is looking for a dynamic and dependable Human Resources Co-ordinator to join our team. This is a full-time term position (up to 20 months) eligible for benefits. You will be a point of contact for Team Members and Leaders. This entry level position plays an integral role as a team member in supporting all Human Resources activities at Wetaskiwin Co-op. This multi-faceted position has responsibilities in employee relations, payroll processing, recruitment, employee documentation and special projects.

What you’ll do:
• Ensure all bi-weekly payroll activities are completed and employee pay is processed in an accurate and timely manner.
• Provide advice and recommendations on the administration and interpretation of policies, various Human Resources procedures and the collective agreement to ensure compliance of negotiated terms, corporate policies and labour and employment law.
• Coaching and supporting team leaders with the performance management and performance improvement processes.
• Manage employee information in our HRIS program.
• Act as a first point of contact for employees and respond to and navigate their inquiries.
• Handle confidential documenttion, files and reports pertaining to human resources activities, including the maintenance, organization, and storage of employee files.
• Coordinate training and development opportunities.
• Participate in Human Resources related projects on an ongoing basis.
• Master the art of multi-tasking with various administrative duties and expectations.

Who you are:
• Detail-orientated team player capable of working independently is essential to the role.
• Goal-orientated, respectful of deadlines, with an ability to work under pressure and work with integrity and confidentiality.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to listen and foster understanding are essential in this role.
• Strong judgement grounded in facts and data.
• Excellent Microsoft Office Skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
• Experience working with HRIS systems (Kronos, UKG, Oracle, UltiPro)
• Completion of a post-secondary program with an emphasis on Business Admin, a focus in Human Resources or Payroll is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience working in an administrative role is preferred.
• You posses a valid class 5 drivers license.
