Wetaskiwin Co-op and Country Junction Feeds is now accepting applications for the full-time position of Maintenance Personnel out of our Country Junction Feeds Wetaskiwin facility, located at 4707 40th Ave in Wetaskiwin, Alberta. The role will also provide support services to our other feed mill facilities including Canadian Nurs-ette in Camrose, Country Junction Feeds in Edmonton, and Cowlick Minerals in Innisfail.

What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Maintenance Foreman, the of Maintenance Personnel is a self-motivated individual who has strong attention to detail. Duties will include but are not limited to:
• Install, inspect, test, troubleshoot, alter, replace and/or repair various electrical systems and related equipment.
• Performing a variety of day-to-day maintenance tasks that primarily are electrical services but also including light carpentry, plumbing, painting, and greasing.
• Perform and implement regular preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize the lifespan of electrical equipment.
• Regularly bending and twisting, lifting up to 55 pounds.
• Participate in working On-Call.
• Assist in enforcing facility feed safety, HACCP, GMP, preventive control and related requirements.
• Adhering to all applicable safety regulations and procedures related to electrical work, including lockout/tagout procedures, working with energized equipment, and using personal protective equipment. Notifying management of any safety concerns.
• Knowledge of building systems, feed mill operations, industrial and production operations will be an asset.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Production, Trades and Maintenance and:
• You hold a high school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training preferred.
• You have a basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, with the ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and preventive maintenance instructions.
• Ability to accurately document maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs including basic computer skills for maintenance tracking and time reporting systems.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space awareness, and machine guarding is preferred.
• Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks, including lifting, climbing ladders, working at heights, and working in dusty or noisy environments.
• You have a valid class 5 driving license, with a willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends for shutdowns and participating in the on-call rotation.
• You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
• You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
