Wetaskiwin Co-op is now accepting applications for the permanent part-time position of Liquor Clerk at our busy Co-op Wine and Spirits Liquor Store in Falun, Alberta. The Liquor Clerk has a vital role in ensuring our shelves are well stocked, organized, and appealing to our members and customers.

What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Liquor Store Manager, the Liquor Clerk is a self-motivated individual who has strong attention to detail. Duties will include but are not limited to:
• Customer service- provide friendly and helpful assistance to members and customers, answering their inquiries, locating products, and offering recommendations.
• Stocking and merchandising- efficiently and accurately unpack, sort, and stock beer, liquor, and spirits on shelves, in displays, and in storage areas.
• Inventory management- assist with inventory counts, identifying low stock levels, and communicating restocking needs to the Liquor Store Manager.
• Process payments- of cash, debit, credit card, gift card and cheques. Troubleshooting any till and/or customer service issues.
• Maintaining a clean workspace- keep work areas, including shelves and aisles, clean and free of hazards.
• Following all Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) regulations. Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and standards.

Who you are:
You’re looking for a career in Retail and:
• You must be at least 18 years old to work in a liquor store in Alberta.
• You are available to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• You have the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• You are comfortable standing for extended periods, and regularly bending, reaching, twisting, pulling, and pushing upwards of 25lbs.
• Experience in the Liquor industry, a Retail setting, and ProServe Certification, are not compulsory but are considered an asset.
• You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
• You are honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
