Wetaskiwin Co-op is recruiting for the full-time permanent position of Cashier for our Home and Building Center, located at 4707 40 Ave in Wetaskiwin, Alberta. The Cashier is the first and last point of contact for members and customers and is responsible for providing friendly, efficient, and accurate service while supporting Wetaskiwin Co-op’s commitment to community, cooperation, and exceptional customer experience.

What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Assistant Hardware Manager, the Cashier is a self-motivated individual who has strong attention to detail. This is a full-time permanent position eligible for benefits. Duties will include but are not limited to:
• Responsible to always provide an exceptional level of customer service.
• Be professional, friendly, and courteous, contributing to a positive team environment.
• Process transactions of cash, debit, credit card, charge accounts, gift cards and cheques through the point-of-sale terminal using the Mi9 system.
• Respond to general customer and member inquiries and be familiar with in-store promotions, bulletins, updates, and products.
• Ensure adherence to merchandising standards, marketing efforts, and housekeeping standards while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Troubleshooting till and customer service issues.
• Other duties as assigned.
